Zinc, a mineral essential to bodily function, is a common deficiency in many individuals. Such deficiencies may cause delayed sexual maturation, slowed growth development, severe diarrhea, skin rashes, immune system deficiencies, diminished appetite, night blindness, behavioral disturbances and impaired wound healing.
